Find quick answers about research products, shipping, third-party testing, Certificates of Analysis, and customer service.
? What does "Research Use Only" (RUO) mean?
Vytal Peptides products are supplied solely for laboratory research and analytical purposes. They are not intended for human consumption, therapeutic use, diagnostic use, or veterinary use. Researchers are responsible for ensuring that materials are used in accordance with applicable institutional policies, laboratory protocols, and regulatory requirements.
? What is the difference between peptide identity and peptide purity?
Identity determines whether the analyzed compound corresponds to the expected peptide or molecular structure. Purity describes the proportion of detected material attributable to the target compound relative to detectable impurities.
These are separate analytical characteristics. Confirmation of identity establishes that the expected compound is present, while purity analysis evaluates the relative presence of the target peptide compared with other detectable components.
? What does a peptide purity result of ≥99% mean?
A purity result of ≥99% generally indicates that at least 99% of the material detected by the specified analytical method corresponds to the target peptide relative to other detectable peaks or components.
Analytical purity should always be interpreted in the context of the testing method used. High chromatographic purity does not independently establish sterility, endotoxin levels, biological activity, absolute peptide content, stability, or suitability for human or veterinary use.
? Why is a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COAs) important?
A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis provides analytical documentation associated with the particular production lot supplied to the researcher.
Researchers should match the batch or lot number on their material with the corresponding COA and retain that documentation as part of their experimental records. This improves material traceability and helps support reproducibility when experiments are performed across different dates, laboratories, or production lots.
? What types of impurities can occur in synthetic peptide materials?
The impurity profile of a synthetic peptide depends on its amino acid sequence, synthesis method, purification process, handling, and storage conditions.
Potential impurities may include truncated or deletion sequences, incomplete reaction products, oxidation products, deamidated species, synthesis-related byproducts, residual counterions, solvents, or degradation products.
Different analytical techniques detect different types of impurities, which is why the analytical methods reported on a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis are important when evaluating research materials.
? What factors can affect peptide stability?
Peptide stability can vary substantially according to amino acid sequence, molecular structure, chemical modifications, temperature, moisture, oxygen exposure, light exposure, pH, and other environmental conditions.
Certain peptides may also be more susceptible to processes such as oxidation, hydrolysis, aggregation, or deamidation.
Researchers should follow product-specific storage information, minimize unnecessary environmental exposure, document storage conditions, and incorporate appropriate stability controls when required by the experimental design.
? Are research peptide products sterile or endotoxin tested?
Chemical purity, sterility, and endotoxin testing are separate analytical specifications and should not be treated as interchangeable.
A high peptide purity result does not establish that a material is sterile or that it meets a particular endotoxin specification. Researchers should rely only on testing and specifications specifically documented for the individual product and batch.
Unless sterility or endotoxin testing is expressly identified in the applicable product documentation or Certificate of Analysis, it should not be assumed.
? How soon will my order ship?
We ship Monday through Saturday. Orders placed before 1 PM are shipped the same day. Orders are sent by FedEx 2-Day Air to eligible commercial and residential addresses.
? How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive an email containing your FedEx tracking information so you can follow the shipment through delivery.
? Where does Vytal Peptides ship?
We currently ship within the United States only. We ship to eligible residential and commercial addresses.
? Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping is available on orders over $200. Research materials are packaged securely to help protect the contents during transit.
? How is my order packaged?
All orders are shipped in discreet, unmarked packaging with vials individually cushioned to prevent breakage during transit.
? How are Vytal Peptides products tested?
Vytal Peptides uses independent third-party laboratories to provide analytical testing for research materials. Testing methods and reported specifications may vary by compound and batch, so researchers should review the applicable Certificate of Analysis for specific results.
? Where can I find the Certificate of Analysis for my product?
Current Certificates of Analysis can be viewed on our Testing page and, where available, directly from the corresponding product page. Match the batch or lot number on your research material with the number shown on the applicable COA.
? What does a peptide purity result mean?
A reported purity percentage describes the proportion of material attributed to the target compound using the analytical method identified in the report.
Purity should not be interpreted as confirmation of sterility, endotoxin levels, biological activity, stability, or suitability for human or veterinary use unless those characteristics were separately tested and specifically documented.
? What other testing may be available?
Depending on the product and batch, additional analytical documentation may include identity, endotoxin, microbial, residual solvent, or other testing. Researchers should rely on the specific tests and results shown on the applicable batch documentation rather than assuming that every test has been performed on every product.
? How can I contact Vytal Peptides?
Our customer service team is available by chat, phone, and email. You can also contact us through the Contact page. We aim to respond to inquiries within one business day.
? What can customer service help me with?
Our team can assist with orders, shipping, tracking, returns, product documentation, Certificates of Analysis, website questions, and other general purchasing inquiries.
Customer service cannot provide medical advice or instructions for human, veterinary, diagnostic, or therapeutic use of research materials.
? What should I do if my order arrives damaged or there is a problem with my shipment?
Please contact our customer service team or submit an exchange request as soon as possible. Include your order information and details about the issue so our team can review the request and arrange an appropriate resolution.
? What is your return policy?
Our team will review the request and provide the next steps. Approved refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis.
